About James Jenkins

James is the owner of Crickhowell Dental Practice. He qualified from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 2004 and went on to work in general practice and then in several hospital positions in Oral & Maxillofacial surgery and Restorative Dentistry. This experience has enabled James to tackle more complex dental problems and to provide a comprehensive service to his patients.

Before taking over Crickhowell Dental Practice in 2013 James worked in a private practice in Bristol for 6 years. He was also a lecturer in Primary care dentistry and sedation & special care at Cardiff University between 2009 and 2017, providing treatment for extremely anxious patients.

James is a highly qualified and experienced dentist having completed the Membership examinations for the Royal College of Surgeons and having completed a Masters degree in dental implant treatment. James provides all aspects of general dental care and particularly enjoys carrying out the more complex restorative treatments in conjunction with dental implant treatment.

James is originally from Poole in Dorset and attended Canford School in Wimborne. He is proud of his Welsh heritage and all of his grandparents were from Wales originally. In his spare time, James enjoys running and he is a keen surfer.
