Welcome to Crickhowell Dental Practice – Open during Tier 4 Lockdown
We are a friendly independent private practice providing dental care ranging from routine general dentistry to cosmetic and dental implant treatments. Our team aims to deliver painless, high quality treatment along with great customer service and aftercare.
NOTICE REGARDING COVID & Tier 4 restrictions Wales
Following on from the first UK national lockdown back in the spring/summer, a lot of lessons have been learnt by the Government in the management of dental care during lockdowns. Nationally, many patients suffered great deterioration in their oral health from conditions such as worsening gum disease, untreated abscesses and even delayed oral cancer diagnosis. Dentistry has now rightfully been designated an essential healthcare service and dentists have invested heavily in higher grade PPE and additional ventilation & precautions to ensure that staff and patients can continue to benefit from all types of dental care, even during lockdowns.
Therefore we are pleased to say that we can continue to provide you with all your dental care needs. This includes Hygienist visits to prevent worsening gum disease and routine dental examinations to screen for oral cancer and other pathology.
We still have strict social distancing and infection control measures in place and you will notice that staff will be wearing various different types of PPE depending on what procedures we will be carrying out. Your safety is our priority.
Therefore please could we ask that you do not attend the practice without an appointment or telephone call beforehand.
All patients will be asked COVID screening questions prior to making appointments and on arrival at the practice. We will also check patients’ temperatures and ask them to use hand sanitiser on arrival.
To ensure that your visit is as “contact free” as possible, we request that patients park in the staff car park where possible and to leave any belongings at home or in their car. We would prefer for patients to pay for their treatment over the phone prior to attending the practice for their treatment where possible.
If appropriate we ask that patients attend their appointments alone. with the exception of children or patients with carers.
Finally we ask for your patience during these times. Infection control has always been at the forefront of dentistry and we will be operating extra measures during the pandemic to keep staff and patients safe. This means that we will not be able to care for the same number of patients per day and so there may be a little less flexibility in booking some appointment times.
However, we are very happy to be able to get back to treating our lovely patients and we look forward to seeing you all soon.
